OurPass, Africa’s fastest one-click checkout solution for e-commerce, announced today the launch of its headless checkout product, an innovative technology that enables consumers to buy from their favourite stores, anywhere.
The OurPass headless checkout solution is targeted at e-commerce businesses that want to reduce cart abandonment and simplify payment processing. Customers using the solution can scan a QR code at the store, or check out with one click in an email, ad or on TV to securely buy a product or can instantly shop using a payment link. It eliminates cumbersome checkout flows, and long-form filling, providing shoppers with ease when shopping.
Speaking on the recent launch, Samuel Eze, CEO of OurPass said, "We are simplifying the checkout experience for both businesses and consumers. For businesses, our platform removes the need for expensive hardware at point of sale and provides an easy way to accept payments securely online and offline"
“The existence of OurPass Headless Checkout is based on the simple premise that fewer steps mean more conversions. We are building on the great success we’ve already achieved with our one-click checkout product, achieving over $2m in transaction volume in a little over 6 months. We believe the headless checkout feature will change the way African commerce is done at large by making it faster for consumers to make purchases online and offline," he added.
The Nigerian digital commerce startup announced a US$1 million pre-seed round in September 2021, which was led by Tekedia Capital and also featured angel investors from top Fortune 500 companies. OurPass is looking to unlock hundreds of millions in revenue for businesses, with its new Headless Checkout product, by providing a custom checkout experience designed for individual buying habits.
